Our commitment

PhoLicious is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for websites.

What we have done

  • Descriptive alternative text on product and content images across the store
  • Closed captions on our spoken videos, with controls to pause, mute, and toggle captions on our homepage and How to Prepare videos
  • Color contrast reviewed and corrected to meet WCAG AA levels for text
  • Visible heading structure, labeled form fields, and descriptive labels on interactive controls
  • Keyboard-focusable controls and labels that match their visible text

Ongoing work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We audit the site periodically and fix issues as we find them. Some content provided by third-party apps embedded in our store (for example, product reviews and subscription tools) is controlled by those providers; we work with them and choose tools that support accessible experiences.
